Train of storms to bring frequent wind, rain to UK into early next week

A spell of unsettled weather will persist across the United Kingdom into next week. Frequent storms from the Atlantic will bring rounds of rainfall and gusty winds throughout the country.
The first in this series of storms brought rain, gusty winds and hill snow to the region from Monday into Wednesday.
Another push of showers and wind came early Thursday. Coastal locations of Scotland, including the cities of Tiree and Benbecula reported wind gusts up to 48 mph (77 km/h).
Along with the most recent storm came a push of milder air, which will hold through the next storm.
Another storm will pass just north of the British Isles Friday into Saturday, sending in rain and wind.
Once again, Scotland will be in line for the worst of the storm's wet weather. Rain will be most widespread in parts of western Scotland, while showery spells are expected across the English midlands, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Travel delays and local flooding will again be a concern, especially in areas that have already received multiple days of heavy rainfall this week.
Rainfall totals may reach up to 25 mm (1 inch) in the hardest hit locations.
However, wind-whipped rainfall is expected over a more widespread area.
"Compared to the previous storm, gusty winds will reach farther south, allowing for brisk conditions in parts of Wales and England for a time," said AccuWeather Meteorologist Rob Richards.
Widespread wind gusts of 30-40 mph ( km/h) with an AccuWeather Local StormMax™ of 50 mph ( km/h) is anticipated with this storm. The highest gusts will be most likely on the northwestern facing coasts.
The unsettled weather will likely continue through the end of the weekend with more rain and wind.
Sunday is expected to bring the chance of downpours to the entire country, with more gusty winds of 20-30 mph (32-48 km/h).

One final storm may take aim at the U.K. early next week bringing a blast of cold winds and local downpours.
AccuWeather.com meteorologists say a break in the stormy weather will be possible during the second half of next week.
Following this storm, cooler, more seasonable air will arrive causing temperatures to tumble compared to the upcoming mild spell.
The next name for a windstorm, should it be named this season, is Ciara.
