Rain spread into western parts of the Iberian Peninsula on Wednesday afternoon with additional rounds of moderate to heavy rainfall expected into Friday.
Downpours will advance south and east Wednesday night, drenching the rest of Portugal and much of western Spain.
All of Portugal and Spain will be at risk of rainfall on Thursday with the heaviest expected across Portugal and northwestern Spain during the afternoon hours.

A final round of downpours will race across Portugal and Spain from Friday afternoon into Friday night.
Total rainfall of 25-75 mm (1-3 inches) will be common across Portugal and western and central parts of Spain with lesser amounts near Spain's eastern coastline.
The hardest-hit locations across western Spain and Portugal will be at risk for 75-150 mm (3-6 inches) of rainfall with an AccuWeather Local StormMax™ of 250 mm (10 inches).
These areas may endure severe flash flooding and widespread travel disruptions. In areas of rugged terrain, there will be a high risk of mudslides.
Some additional rainfall is possible across northern Portugal and northern Spain on Saturday before drier weather returns for the entire region on Sunday.
