A period of tranquil weather is set to take place across the United Kingdom into this weekend before Humberto, currently a hurricane nearing Bermuda, threatens the country next week.
A large dome of high pressure will shield the region from any approaching storm systems and allow temperatures to climb as the week progresses.
Several days of sunshine will accompany the dry weather in most locations. This will make it feel even warmer, especially during the afternoon.
While sunshine will prevail across the country, some locations will have to contend with areas of fog that can slow the morning commute and potentially lead to some travel delays.
The increase in warmth will peak over the weekend as temperatures reach levels more typical of midsummer than early autumn.
London and surrounding areas can expect temperatures to around 25 C (77 F) on Saturday before falling slightly to around 21 C (70 F) on Sunday.
In Manchester, Tuesday's high of 17 C (63 F) will be replaced by a high of 21-22 C (69-71 F) from Friday into the weekend.
Cooler weather experienced in Belfast earlier this week will be a distant memory by this weekend as temperatures peak near 19-20 C (67-68 F).

The dry weather pattern may begin to break down on Sunday as a stronger storm approaches from the Atlantic Ocean and high pressure shifts into central Europe. This will bring the threat of a few showers before the weather becomes even more unsettled early next week.
Hurricane Humberto will track near Bermuda before turning northward and crossing the Atlantic late this week and this weekend.
There are two scenarios for Humberto's future track. One possibility is that it will produce a glancing blow for the U.K. while the other is that it will make a direct hit on the country.
The most likely of the scenarios involves a track to the north and west of Scotland with impacts similar to what former Hurricane Dorian produced across the country last week.
A soaking rain and gusty winds would lash much of the country with the strongest winds confined to Northern Ireland and Scotland between Monday and Wednesday.
If Humberto were to track farther south, it could bring damaging winds to parts of the United Kingdom along with the potential for flooding rainfall. These impacts would be most likely to occur from Tuesday into Wednesday.
