Severe thunderstorms packing wind damage and isolated tornado threats could impact parts of the South on Tuesday.
Storms associated with this low pressure system fired up over Texas on Monday, producing scattered damaging wind gusts in central and eastern parts of the state. The National Weather Service is set to survey damage from a possible tornado near Jarrell, Texas.
Tuesday, the cold front will work its way over the lower Mississippi Valley, and strong to severe thunderstorms are possible ahead of it. Areas from Mississippi and Alabama into western Tennessee have the greatest chance of seeing severe weather.
Damaging wind gusts will continue to be the primary threat, but a few tornadoes are possible.
