DENSE FOG ADVISORY: ISSUED: 6:35 PM OCT. 25, 2022 – NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE

 ...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Dense fog will reduce visibility to 1 NM or less.

* WHERE...Sandy Hook NJ to Montauk Point NY out 20 nm, Long
Island Sound East of New Haven CT/Port Jefferson NY to the
Mouth of the Connecticut River, Long Island Sound East of the
Mouth of the Connecticut River, Long Island Sound West of New
Haven CT/Port Jefferson NY, New York Harbor, Peconic and
Gardiners Bays, and South Shore Bays from Jones Inlet through
Shinnecock Bay.

* WHEN...Until 11 AM EDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Low visibility will make navigation difficult.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must navigate, proceed with caution. Use proper fog
signals. Make sure all running lights are on. Remember to use
your radar and compass.



SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
ISSUED: 5:42 AM OCT. 26, 2022 – NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
Fog continues across the region this, with patches of dense fog
in spots. This has resulted in reduced visibilities down to a few
miles, with localized areas of a quarter mile or less.

Exercise caution if driving into early this morning and utilize
your low beam headlights as visibilities may suddenly drop.
