January 2022 has been the coldest January in recent memory for NYC metro-area

After a mild December to wrap up 2021 the first month of 2022 proved to be quite a turn-around for the New York City metro-area in terms of the air temperatures as the 40's and 50's of December 2021 were replaced by the 20's and 30's of January 2022.
