Officials in Tennessee on Tuesday revised the number of people killed in historic flooding last Saturday to 18. They said three people remain unaccounted for. Earlier reports had said dozens of people were missing.
Vehicles and structures were washed away when upwards of 17 inches fell in one day, which, if confirmed, would be a new state record. The hardest hit areas were in Dickson, Houston, Humphreys and Hickman counties, about 40 miles west of Nashville.

The victims ranged from small children to the elderly, according to local officials.
"It is a devastating picture of loss and heartbreak in one of our Tennessee communities," Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee said during a Sunday evening press conference.
