Where Hurricane Delta Evacuations Have Been Issued in Louisiana, Alabama

Here's a list of evacuations in Louisiana and Alabama ahead of Hurricane Delta:

LOUISIANA

Acadia Parish

Voluntary evacuation for all residents in the parish.

Allen Parish

A mandatory evacuation is in place for the entire parish, the Sheriff's Office said.

Beauregard Parish

Voluntary evacuation for all residents in the parish. Those who need to seek shelter but do not have transportation should go to Merryville High School, East Beauregard High School, Singer High School or South Beauregard Elementary School by 1 p.m. Thursday, according to parish officials. They will then be taken to DeRidder Junior High School, where buses will leave at 3 p.m. for the MegaShelter in Alexandria.

Calcasieu Parish

The parish went under a mandatory evacuation order at 5 p.m. CT Wednesday. In Lake Charles, city buses will take residents to shelters, according to KPLC-TV. Other buses will be made available to parish residents who live outside the city limits, the report added.

Cameron Parish

Parts of the parish, including the town of Cameron, remain under a mandatory evacuation order and nightly curfew from Hurricane Laura, which made landfall in the parish on Aug. 27.

Iberia Parish

Mandatory evacuations for all residents who live west of U.S. Highway 90 and south of State Highway 14. That order goes into effect at 3 p.m. Thursday. Voluntary evacuations were issued for residents in other vulnerable areas of the parish.

Jeff Davis Parish

All residents of the parish are under a mandatory evacuation, and only critical and essential employees are exempt, according to KATC.com. No shelters will be opened in the parish, but buses will leave at 11 a.m. Thursday to take residents to shelters elsewhere in the state, the report added.

Jefferson Parish

Grande Isle Mayor David Camardelle issued a mandatory evacuation order effective at 6 a.m. Thursday. The mayor had previously ordered all boats, RVs and campers off the island. According to notices posted on the town's website, this is at least the fourth time during this hurricane season that some sort of evacuation was issued for the small community that sits in the Gulf of Mexico about 100 miles south of New Orleans.

Jean Lafitte Mayor Tim Kerner, Jr. and Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng issued a voluntary evacuation for the town of Jean Lafitte, Lower Lafitte, Crown Point and Barataria, effective as of 7 a.m. CST Wednesday.

Lafayette Parish

Voluntary evacuations for residents who live in low-lying or otherwise vulnerable areas.

Lafourche Parish

Parish President Archie Chaisson issued a mandatory evacuation starting at 6 p.m. Thursday for residents and businesses south of the Leon Theriot Floodgate in Golden Meadow and other low-lying areas of Lafourche Parish.

Officials at Port Fourchon, which supports offshore oil and gas operations in south Louisiana, issued a recommended evacuation Wednesday morning. That was upgraded to a mandatory evacuation on Thursday, per the parish order.

New Orleans

The city is advising voluntary evacuations for areas outside of levee protection, including Venetian Isles, Lake Catherine and Irish Bayou, starting at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Plaquemines Parish

voluntary evacuation is in effect starting at 3 p.m. Thursday for White Ditch to Pointe à la Hache on the East Bank of Plaquemines Parish and from the Phillips 66 Alliance Refinery to Venice on the West Bank of Plaquemines Parish.

St. Landry Parish

Residents in low-lying or flood-prone areas have been advised to evacuate, and a curfew will be in effect from noon Friday through 8 a.m. Saturday, KATC.com reported.

St. Martin Parish

The parish president on Wednesdaay requested a voluntary evacuation of Lower St. Martin Parish — Stephensville and Belle River.

St. Mary Parish

Residents who live south of the Intracoastal Waterway have been ordered to evacuate, according to KATC.com.

Terrebonne Parish

mandatory evacuation of Zone 1 areas was in effect as of 3 p.m. Thursday, including all areas south of the Pointe-aux-Chenes Floodgate, all areas south of the Bayou Terrebonne Floodgate in Lower Montegut, Isle de Jean Charles, all areas south of the Bayou Petit Caillou Floodgate including Cocodrie, all areas south of the Morganza to the Gulf levee road ramp on Four Point Road in lower Dulac, all areas south of the Lower Dularge Floodgate

Vermilion Parish

The Vermilion Parish Police Jury issued a mandatory evacuation for all low-lying areas and trailers Wednesday afternoon. The portion of the parish below Louisiana Highway 14 was under voluntary evacuations.

ALABAMA

Barrier Islands

Gov. Kay Ivey ordered a mandatory evacuation for all visitors and tourists in Orange Beach, Gulf Shores and Dauphin Island, as well as the unincorporated areas of Ono Island and Fort Morgan. Those authorized to work in cleanup, repair and recovery efforts from Sally were exempt.
