A storm system swinging through central Europe is forecast to usher in colder air and bring a round of wintry weather to the region.
Wet weather will spread across all of Germany by Monday night and continue into Tuesday.
Cold air arriving with this storm will lower snow levels in the country and surrounding areas on Tuesday.
Along with the risk for rain and snow, gusty winds will howl throughout the country.
"A mix of rain and snow, and perhaps a period of just snow, is expected in parts of central and southern Germany, southern Belgium and Luxembourg," said AccuWeather Meteorologist Tyler Roys.
A slushy covering of snow is expected across these areas through Tuesday evening.
"Where precipitation goes over to all snow will be the most likely locations for slippery conditions to develop," Roys added.
These areas will generally be across the higher elevations of central and southern Germany and could receive up to 5 cm (2 inches).

A period of heavier precipitation Tuesday night into Wednesday may allow for a more widespread change over to snow across parts of Baden-Wurttemberg and Bavaria.
A slushy covering of snow is possible with a few locations recording up to 3 cm (1 inch) on elevated surfaces.
A mixture of rain and snow is also possible across northern Austria, Czechia, Slovakia and Poland on Wednesday.
During the second half of the week, a pair of milder storms will bring rainfall to the region with snowfall limited to the higher elevations of the Alps.
Another shot of cold air may allow for snow to return to central Europe next week.
