A big north-south divide will set up across the United Kingdom this weekend as some will have wet, cooler weather while others can expect a taste of summer.
A storm racing north of the United Kingdom on Saturday will deliver downpours to northern and western Scotland with the heaviest rainfall expected in the afternoon.
A few afternoon showers may dampen locations across the rest of Scotland as well as Northern Ireland in the afternoon.

The rest of the country can expect dry weather to prevail on Saturday along with unseasonable warmth.
The warmest locations will be found across southern England where afternoon high temperatures of 20-23 C (68-73 F) are expected along with sunny intervals. Cooler air will invade the northern half of the United Kingdom on Sunday sending showers farther southward into Northern England and far northern Wales.
A damp day is expected in Belfast and Manchester with an afternoon high of only 14 C (57 F) in Belfast and 18 C (65 F) in Manchester. The chilly air will settle across Scotland with a high of 14 C (57 F) in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Meanwhile, dry and warm weather will continue into Sunday across southern Wales and southern England.

Despite increasing clouds, temperatures will soar above 21C (70 F) throughout the Midlands and Southern England.
Temperatures will peak near 26 C (78 F) in the Greater London area during the middle of the afternoon.
Cool air will remain entrenched across northern parts of the country on Monday as temperatures will lower slightly in the south. Dry weather will prevail across much of the country with just the odd shower in a few locations.
An extended spell of dry and comfortable weather is expected across the United Kingdom from Tuesday to Friday.
