The streak of rain dampening North West England every day this April will end just in time for Saturday's Grand National Day at Aintree Racecourse.
The departure of the storm that was responsible for the midweek disruptive snow across the United Kingdom will give way to dry weather throughout most of England on Saturday.
Horse-racing fans will be able to enjoy Grand National Day amid sunny spells with temperatures climbing to a mild high of 13 degrees Celsius (56 degrees Fahrenheit).
Temperatures may be not far from that mark when Grand National's main race is run at 5:15 p.m., local time.
There will not be enough of a chilly wind to keep AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperatures much lower or to cause issues for jockeys. Winds should generally average from the east-northeast at 6-12 mph.
Saturday's weather will be a welcome change from the wet start to April.
Measurable rain has been recorded each of the first five days of the month at the nearby Liverpool Airport. High temperatures were held to around 8 C (46 F) Tuesday into Thursday. A high around 10 C (50 F) is more common this time of year.

The wet pattern resulted in the official going for the course to be listed as soft with good to soft conditions in places.
A breeze on Friday with mostly dry weather in the afternoon may help the going to improve to good to soft along the entire course for Saturday.
Saturday's dry weather is expected to persist into Sunday morning for travelers heading home from Liverpool. An odd shower may return in the afternoon but will only dampen roads.
The mild conditions will hold firm through the end of the weekend and into early next week before a turn to cooler weather spreads over the entire U.K. by the second half of the week.
