The extreme heat that has been baking southern California will get trimmed for the final day of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
The first weekend of the festival, which ran from April 12-14, featured a peak high temperature of 87 degrees Fahrenheit.
Temperatures were 10 degrees higher on Friday as the second and final weekend of the annual event began.
A storm moving through the Southwest that kicked up gusty winds on Saturday and Saturday night will help trim temperatures on Sunday.

While winds will not be as strong as late Saturday, a breeze will return on Sunday afternoon. The main weather news to end the festival, however, will be the break from the heat.
Temperatures on Sunday will be held to the upper 80s, which is seasonable for this time of year.
Festivalgoers should not take any fewer precautions because of temperatures being trimmed at the end of the weekend.
Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen and lightweight, loose-fitting clothing will be necessary items to have on hand. Small fans can help to cool down those staying in tents and campers.
Drinking plenty of water and/or sports drinks and limiting alcohol intake will be important in order to avoid negative impacts from the heat.

There will be heat relief as the headlining acts such as Ariana Grande and Kaytranada hit the stage after dark, when temperatures will drop into the 70s.
