Sunday will feel more like April across the United Kingdom, but showers may put a damper on the mild spell in some western communities.
Much to the delight of those with plans, mild air will continue to surge across the British Isles and send temperatures above 10 C (50 F) on Sunday afternoon. The warmest air is expected in southern England, where highs between 13 and 15 C (55 and 59 F) are in store.
Anticipated highs are more common in April, during the middle of February, when temperatures are typically held to 5 and 8 C (40s F).
Whilst there will be more cloud following Friday's bright sunshine and a gentle to moderate breeze blowing, many residents still may opt to get outdoors and take advantage of the taste of spring.
Residents across the western U.K., however, will want to keep a brolly handy with showery spells anticipated.
The day is not expected to be a washout, but an approaching cold front will bring scattered showers from western Scotland and England into much of Wales and Northern Ireland. Showers should only dampen communities for a small fraction of the day.
An odd shower may reach eastern Scotland and North East England on Sunday afternoon.
The threat for a shower around London is not anticipated until the start of the new week.

The cold front responsible for the showers will slightly trim the warmth throughout the U.K. by early next week. That does not mean that residents will have to pull heavier jackets back out of the wardrobe.
Temperatures on Monday and Tuesday will still climb a bit above normal, and another mild spell may follow for the middle and second half of the week.
Whilst there can be a rainy spell across the northern U.K. as the next mild surge arrives at midweek, dry weather should largely dominate the second half of the week.
Mild weather will not just be the theme for this weekend and next week, but also for this upcoming spring across much of the southern U.K.
Residents across the western U.K., however, will want to keep a brolly handy with showery spells anticipated.
