Actor Jackie Chan announced on his personal blog Monday that a "massive" mudslide impacted filming for his latest movie, "Project X" while film crews were shooting on location in China.
Chan did not divulge the location of where the mudslide occurred, but parts of southern China, especially Yunnan Province, have seen heavy rainfall since last week, according to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Eric Leister.

According to Chan, the weather changed suddenly and the crew became caught in the mudslide.
Photos on his blog show trucks being slammed by a fast-flowing river of mud and tents with filming equipment also being caught in the mudflow.
The famed actor said many crew members were frightened because the mudslide happened so suddenly. He expressed gratitude for the rescue crews who came to their aid and helped tow their production trucks to safety.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt 'thank you' to all the people who came to help us,” Chan wrote. "And also 'sorry' to all the crew members who were frightened by the mudslide. Our production team will learn from this experience; be more alert to the weather conditions, do our best to protect our crew members and ensure that working conditions are absolutely safe. Thanks to everyone for your hard work!”
There were no reports of injuries.

A combination of loose or saturated soil, especially in steep terrain with heavy rainfall, is a recipe for mudslides, according to Leister.
There are several warning signs that can let you know a landslide, or mudslide, is imminent.
Some of these warning signs include unusual noises like trees cracking or boulders knocking together, which could also indicate moving debris. Leaning towers, trees, power polls, retaining walls or fences are also indicators that a landslide could occur.
