A slow-moving storm system will unleash a period of heavy rainfall on parts of the United Kingdom into Monday night.
Rain, some heavy, fell across parts of southern and eastern England on Monday and will continue Monday evening before ending overnight.
Hardest-hit areas will be east of Greater London, particularly across Kent.
UK 4/30

A total rainfall of 25-50 mm (1-2 inches) is expected with local amounts up to 75 mm (3 inches).
Rainfall of this magnitude can result in dangerous spray and flooding of roadways, along with stream and river flooding.
Flights as well as train and bus services could be impacted, leading to lengthy evening commutes.
Strong winds and cold air arriving with this storm will add to the misery.
“It will feel quite cold with a chilly wind blowing in from off the North Sea,” said AccuWeather Meteorologist Rob Richards.
Frequent wind gusts of 20-30 mph (32-48 km/h) are expected with local gusts up to 40 mph (65 km/h) for inland locations.
Gusts could reach 50 mph (80 km/h mph) along the eastern coast of England.
These strong winds will make using a brolly difficult, so plan accordingly if you will have to endure any extended time outdoors.
Drier weather will briefly return to eastern England on Tuesday before another storm arrives Tuesday night into Wednesday with additional rainfall.
A longer spell of dry weather along with unseasonable warmth is possible from late this week through the upcoming Bank Holiday weekend.
