Hurricane Nana weakened into a tropical storm after making landfall in Belize early Thursday and quickly moved across Guatemala and southern Mexico.

No deaths or injuries have been reported.

Damage in Belize appeared to be minimal, Red Cross Director General Lily Bowman told the Associated Press, and the biggest impacts were on banana plantations.

Belize's National Emergency Management Organization gave a countrywide "all clear" at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Belize Electricity Limited reported power was out to the coastal villages of Hopkins and Placencia. The utility said it was checking all of the Stann Creek and Toledo districts for damage.

News 5 Live shared images on Facebook of crop damage in the village of Jalacte and downed trees in Sittee River and Pomona.

Heavy rainfall prior to Nana's landfall forced some families to evacuate in the Guatemalan city of Ayutla, near the border with Mexico, according to the Guatemalan Red Cross.

Earlier, Nana caused some flooding on Roatan, an island off the northern coast of Honduras, Inter FM Honduras reported. Video posted on Facebook showed floodwaters on the first floor of a hospital.
