Here's the high and low temperatures that have been recorded since January 1,2020 and the projected high and low temperatures through January 31,2020 compared to average for White Plains,NY, a suburban city in Westchester County just north of New York City,as of 9AM,EDT,January 11,2020 from accuweather.com to show just how mild/warm it's been for January 2020 so far:

As you can see;with only a few exceptions where the high temperature might not get above 35 and therefore the projected high will fall a degree or two below normal, for the rest of the month, while it won't get as warm as this weekend (January 11-12,2020), it'll still remain above and in some instances (like from January 13-16),well above normal (to the tune of 10 to as much as 20 degrees above normal; mainly on January 15-16,2020), prompting the monthly average temperature to threaten all-time record territory and make this January (of 2020),the warmest January ever for the New York City metro-area that has been so far indicative of this 2019-20 winter season through January 10-11,2020.
