NFL week 3: Rain to create sloppy conditions in Kansas City, Seattle

While most NFL fans will need sunglasses for Sunday's games, rain gear will be a must have for those in Seattle and Kansas City, Missouri.

Here is a breakdown of the forecast for both games:

Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs, 1 p.m. EDT

The first round of thunderstorms and soaking rain moved through Kansas City on Saturday with more expected Saturday night into much of Sunday as the undefeated Ravens and Chiefs square off at Arrowhead Stadium.

Enough rain is forecast to fall to cause flash flooding in the area, so fans should use caution when heading to the game as some roads could be closed due to high water.

Umbrellas and ponchos will be needed throughout pre-game tailgates and the game itself.

The rainy weather will likely create sloppy field conditions and an increased chance of fumbles and dropped balls.

Temperatures will be in the lower 70s F throughout the game with similar AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperatures.

A breeze up to 14 mph from the west-southwest will generally be a crosswind at Arrowhead Stadium, and may impact higher passes and kicks.

New Orleans Saints at Seattle Seahawks, 4:25 p.m. EDT

It will be a rather dreary day in Seattle as a storm system is expected to move into the area and bring periods of rain.

The rainfall will necessitate fans bringing along ponchos and waterproof gear, and it can make the field and ball slick for the players.

It will be cool with cloudy, rainy weather as temperatures are forecast to be in the lower to middle 60s during the game.

The wind will be light throughout the day and will not impact the game.
