Dry weather returns to much of the United Kingdom for the bank holiday.
London will be dry after a wet Sunday due to high pressure building in from the southwest. There will be sunny periods and temperatures will be comfortable and near normal for this time of the year.
The normal high temperature in London in late August is 20-21 C (68-69 F).
Manchester and areas of northwestern England will experience an isolated shower. Though, much of the time will be dry with sunny periods as well.

The threat for rain will diminish greatly for the bank holiday on Monday across Scotland and Northern Ireland. The odd shower cannot be ruled out across western Scotland; however, dry weather will prevail much of the day.
Elsewhere, some sunshine will return, and temperatures will climb higher as milder air spreads over the country.
Daytime highs on Monday will range from 14-17 C (58-62 F) in the north to around 21 C (70 F) in London and the Southeast.
In the longer range, temperatures are expected to hover near normal for much of this upcoming week. The next front will move into the United Kingdom later Tuesday into Wednesday introducing the chance for rain back into the forecast.
