Rounds of torrential rain and serious flooding inundated the northeastern United States, causing two of Pennsylvania's most popular amusement parks to close.
Hershey Park and Knoebels were both forced to close on Monday after the intense rain put the parks under water. Both parks had to close again throughout the week as additional rain and flooding created more damage.
Repeated downpours caused streams and rivers to rise and spill out of their banks, leading to the dangerous flooding.
Flooding overtook Santa Fe, New Mexico, this week. The mayor declared a state of emergency as a result of the intense rain.
Homes were destroyed in the area as roads turned to rivers.
At least one car was stuck and had to be retrieved from an arroyo by emergency personnel.

Wildfires have caused apocalyptic devastation near Athens, Greece, over the past week.
Gripping stories have been reported of families running toward the sea to find safety, leaving behind their homes and possessions. Dozens of people have been killed in the fires.
Many of the fatalities occurred as people were left trapped in their homes or automobiles by the rapidly spreading fires.
Around 700 people were rescued from beaches by the Coast Guard and other vessels, while another 19 survivors were rescued from the sea, according to Reuters.
In total, 47 fires broke out across Greece from Monday into early Tuesday; however, most were extinguished by Tuesday afternoon as winds subsided across the area.
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras declared three days of national mourning following the destructive blazes, the Associated Press stated.
Later in the week, showers occurred across the region. While the rain aided the firefighting efforts, intense flooding ensued.
The capital's fire department received 140 calls for assistance from residents, including the need to pump water from flooded homes and businesses, according to the Associated Press.

The flash flooding overtook roads and entire communities around Athens. Recently burned areas are more susceptible to flooding as the ground is loose.

A failed dam prompted catastrophic and deadly flooding in Laos late Monday local time.
Heavy rainfall in recent weeks may have led to the dam's failure.
Quickly rising water inundated at least six villages and has damaged or destroyed more than 1,000 homes and is affecting more than 6,000 people, according to the Associated Press.

At least two dozen people were killed, but hundreds are still missing and some communities remain under water.
The dam failure initialized from a saddle dam, which is used to store additional water beyond what is supported by the main dam.
Construction on the dam began in 2013 and was scheduled to be completed in 2019.
