The unseasonable warmth that has prevailed across much of Germany this month has no end in sight as temperatures are set to climb once again.
Tuesday featured drier weather with a slight uptick in temperatures across Germany, a trend that will continue in the coming days.
High pressure centered just to the east of Germany will prevent any storm systems from approaching the region and also pull warm air northward from the Mediterranean.
Dry weather and abundant sunshine are forecast for Wednesday with high temperatures of 20-22 C (68-72 F) for much of the country.
Further warming is expected on Thursday as high temperatures range from 21-24 C (70-76 F) in most areas with a few locations reaching 25 C (78 F) in western Germany.
Similar temperatures are expected throughout the country on Friday as high pressure continues to dominate the region, resulting in dry weather and plenty of sunshine.
This prolonged period of warm and dry weather will be ideal for traveling and enjoying outdoor plans.
A weak frontal boundary will cross northern and eastern Germany over the weekend and cause temperatures to fall a few degrees; however, temperatures will remain above normal even in these locations.
No rainfall is expected with this frontal passage, and locations farther south and west will have continued summerlike warmth and abundant sunshine.
A stronger cold front is expected to arrive next week which will bring the threat for showers and thunderstorms and may lower temperatures closer to normal levels.
