For those hoping to spend time in Munich enjoying the second full weekend of Springfest, travel to the southern city should go uninterrupted by the weather.
Often called the "little sister" to Oktoberfest, Springfest (Fruhlingfest in German) kicked off on April 20, when temperatures soared to near 80 F (27 C), over 20 F (13 C) above normal.
Conditions have remained seasonably warm but overall favorable, with only nothing more than light rainfall on any day at the venue, Munich's Theresienwiese.

Festivalgoers should make sure to apply sunscreen frequently, stay well hydrated and to remain shielded from the sun whenever possible.
Temperatures will really soar on Sunday, when a surge of warmth will push thermometers toward the 27 C (80 F) mark once again.
Sunny spells will threaten sunburn throughout the day, though an incoming storm system will also impact the area.
"Moisture will increase ahead of a storm system on Sunday, bringing the chance for mainly afternoon showers and thunderstorms for much of Germany, including Munich," Richards said. Some of the thunderstorms will contain gusty winds.
A few downpours and occasional lightning may send festivalgoers running for indoor areas through the evening hours.
There will remain a risk for a shower or thunderstorm on Monday; however, it will turn cooler with a high near 18 C (65 F).
