Despite the calendar saying that it's spring and despite the spring equinox being almost a whole week ago, Old Man Winter's not yet done with the northeastern US as it's set to release one last icy gasp over the northeastern 2-3rds of the US including in the NYC metro-area as by Monday, March 28, 2022 temperatures could be up to 15-25 degrees BELOW NORMAL for the end of March that day (32 versus the normal high of 52 for March 28). Spring and winter have been duking it out since the beginning of February 2022 and yet by the time the calendar turns to April 2022 high temperatures could return to the normal range of the lower 50's by Wednesday, March 30, 2022 and even go back to above normal into the 60's by the first days of April 2022.
